Birthday present

Purse #7
When I made my John Deere purse and posted the very first pics of it a friend who lives in Pennsylvania said she had birthday coming up and this would make a great gift. Well I ran out to the store later that week and bought more material to make one. This one turned out better than the first. Now her little girl is wanting one and I see she has a birthday coming up so I may just have to make a smaller version of her mommy's purse.

It's a very pretty sparkly fabric. Cute for little girls.

#10 went to my Sister in Law

Mothers Day gifts

Purse #5
A Mother's Day gift for my mom. Someone who doesn't carry a purse anymore. Not the gift you'd think of buying. But Mom carries it everywhere. She is diabetic so it holds her snacks and medicine while she is away from home.

Purse #6
A Mothers Day gift for my Mother In Law. Her favorite color is yellow. I went to Walmart and actually found this fabric. Quite pretty, if you ask me.  I'm not a fan of the flower material but it turned out great. As soon as I had posted this picture of it on my Facebook account, I had an offer. But this was a gift. No one has a Mother In law quite like mine. I've been very blessed to have her in my life. She's the best!

Purse #3

I made this purse for myself. Didn't turn out too bad. I decided to try 2 pockets inside instead of 1. I was hoping for the bottom of the purse to have the paisley John Deere around it. I did't cut it big enough or something. Again. I am still learning. But I like this purse. Carry it everywhere and get lots of compliments.

Purse #2

The second purse I made was for my oldest daughter. She chose the material. Which the zebra print was suppose to be the inside. When I cut out the pattern though, the flower material just wouldn't look right on the outside so I switched them. Didn't turn out too bad. I even figured out how to add pockets to the inside and outside.

First purse I ever made

The first purse I ever made was for my youngest daughter. It was meant to look like a purse but after completing it, it looked like a pair of giant underwear. Seriously, it did! The bottom part looked like an area where you put your legs. After seeing this I decided to cut the bottom off evenly and sew it together. Turned out better that way. I was now on the road to learning. If you look at the other side the fabric is upside down. But she likes it and that's what mattered.
